The business goes read-only until you pick Pro, Business or Enterprise. Your data, invoices and history stay intact. No card on file means no surprise charge if you forget; you just lose the ability to create new invoices, expenses or payroll runs on that business until it’s on a paid plan.
Yes. One card on file at the account level. We add a line item for each business based on the tier it’s on, and roll the whole thing into a single monthly invoice. So 2 Pro × $5 + 1 Business × $8 reads as one $18 charge with the breakdown on your receipt.
That’s the whole point of the per-business model. A small side gig can sit on Pro while your main studio runs on Business, and you only pay for the features each one actually needs. Switch tiers per business any time from Settings.
Yes, upgrade or downgrade any business any time. Upgrades pro-rate immediately, downgrades take effect on the next billing date so you never lose paid-up time.
Annual plans are coming. Talk to sales if you want to lock one in early; the typical move is two months free for paying yearly upfront, applied per business.
